Former Vetting Manager-North America, SeaRiver Maritime, Inc., USCG Licensed Master, USCG approved simulator instructor for tugs, pilots and ships. Foret, Jr., President of the ACTion group David has over 37 years’ experience in the towing vessel industry including 12 years onboard and more than 13 years spent in shore side management before forming his own compliance firm in 1999. He holds a Merchant Mariner Credential endorsed as Master of Towing Vessels and Tankerman-PIC (Barge) Dangerous Liquids and Liquefied Gas cargoes, TVIB-Certified AWO RCP Auditor certification, and Crew Endurance Management Systems (CEMS) Expert. He has served on the Pilot Board Investigation Review Committee (PBIRC) representing the interests of the brownwater towing vessel community for the past 17 years. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Towing Vessel Inspection Bureau (TVIB). Foret, Executive Vice President of Towing Vessel Inspection Bureau Tava brings nearly 25 years of experience in the towing vessel industry. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing, Certified Instructional Designer designation, TVIB-Certified AWO RCP Auditor certification, and Crew Endurance Management Systems (CEMS) Expert. Has served as the President on the Board of Directors for the Towing Vessel Inspection Bureau (TVIB) and formerly served on the Board of Directors for the American Waterways Operators (AWO) Association. She has served on the Towing Safety Advisory Committee’s (TSAC) Towing Vessel Inspection Workgroup and chaired the Auditor Subcommittee.
